Spyderco Kapara Tero Tuf Scale Sets

I bought these after finding the burlap micarta handles that came with the kapara far too slippery. These scales brought just the right level of grippy-ness and they look great.

My Spyderco Kapara came from the factory with scales that were so mirror-smooth that they made that knife difficult to grasp firmly. As far as I am concerned, every knife should be able to be held firmly for safety reasons. I wanted to return the knife for that reason, but I decided to go looking for grippier scales first, and I found them.

The Tero Tuf scales are wonderful. Now I can get a strong, safe grip on my Kapara. They also look better than the original. Plus there was a selection of colors for me to choose from. You can bet I'll be looking at Tero Tuf scales for any knife I need to re-scale because of slippery handles.
